About the role:
As the Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) Refueling and Fuel Services Operations Manager, you will manage the daily direction and oversight of all Project Managers and Refuel Outage Operations. Additionally, you will oversee the financial performance of projects under Westinghouse's Reactor Services Business Unit.
You will report to the Sr. Director of Reactor Services and will be based out of our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. This is an on site position.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a population of adequately trained project management resources to implement standard PWR services and projects.

Provide integrated resources of field project managers with input into field service personnel staffing, equipment reservations, and facilities within your responsibilities.

Contribute to facilities investments required to adequately support program needs and ensure customer satisfaction.

Provide integrated material and service procurement plan across all projects; implement cost efficiencies through sourcing and logistics practices.

Assist Supervisors and Leads in developing project procedures, operational processes and the safety program requirements, work rules and company standards.

Ensure all personnel observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including the proper wear of required personal safety equipment.

Oversee direct reports to ensure project standards for safety, quality, delivery and cost are met according to contract agreements.

Work with WEC Fuel Product Performance and support all fuel and fuel related programs
-
Implement integrated planning and logistics programs to support all projects and any initiatives.

Assure cost-effective implementation of equipment and people.
-
Implement improvements to training and maintenance practices to increase efficiency and reduce costs for these activities.

Contribute to business relationships with labor subcontract firms to adequately support field season peaks, while assuring high resource quality at competitive costs.

Implement personnel performance improvement and skills development process to assure Westinghouse competitiveness.

Provide oversight and support of personnel enrolled in the Project Manager Development Program
-
Assure a fair and competitive pay structure for assigned workforce.

Hire to fulfill demand.

Deliver seasonal Lessons Learned reviews to share across the organization
-
Manage safety and the safe work performance for all assigned personnel.

Assure safety, health and regulatory compliance at Westinghouse serviced sites.
-

Assign work activities for efficiency and productivity that meets established performance expectations.
-
Develop professional relationships with peers, your team and customer personnel.
-
Provide oversight and direction to Project Managers and Site Leaders. This oversight and direction encompasses the Westinghouse contracts at the assigned station/plant. The goal is to ensure work is performed or maintained following design, budget, and schedule. This includes working with customer representatives.

Inspect work and perform field observations to ensure that work conforms to specifications, schedules and established performance expectations

Prepare or receive from your team, reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjust work schedules as indicated by reports.

Confer with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints within work force.

Implement and ensure compliance with company and client policies, procedures and expectations. Administer disciplinary action, warnings and coaching.

Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
-
Resolve work related problems.
-
Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule and operational needed.
-
Read and interpret instructions/documentation and plans work activities.
-
Acquire and maintain in-depth understanding of the technical installation requirements for the work under your management which includes drawings, specifications, procedures and codes.

Maintain a current knowledge of the status of the work, personnel, and materials under your guidance.

Perform all other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
-
10+ years of relevant experience
-
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Working knowledge of nuclear power equipment capabilities, nuclear power facility technical expertise, and a facility maintenance background
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $130,400.00 to $163,000.00 per year.
