About the role:
As a \Manufacturing Engineering intern, you will be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of technical products and systems.
You will report to the Service Center Operations Manager and be located at our Madison location. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and planning support to Operations
- Evaluate processes related to time, cost reduction and inventory control
- Lead or assist continuous improvement efforts, such as root cause failure analysis
- Assist design engineers with drawing layout and completion
- Participate in new product design reviews, providing early identification of planning or manufacturability issues
- Draw organization and file for as built facility drawings
- Work with the Facilities Manager and other manufacturing support groups daily to complete projects on the site
- Present designs and results at company internal design reviews
- Create/update engineering-related project documentation/data
- Create technical documentation
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Complete Sophomore year of college
- Proficient using hand tools
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
