We’re hiring a Product Innovation Apprentice within the Product Management and Growth organization that supports the Westinghouse Outage & Maintenance Services (OMS) business unit.    OMS offers global services in outage, inspection, maintenance, welding, and refurbishment. Partnering with customers, Westinghouse is dedicated to reducing outage durations and costs.

About the role:

As an intern apprentice, within the Product Management and Growth organization, you will have the opportunity to engage with various internal business partners to investigate market and technology.   This role will have specific focus in researching global robotics and potential applications for commerical nuclear power.   

Key Responsibilities:

 

As an intern apprentice you will have the opportunity to improve your skills in research, reporting writing, and presentation under mentorship of experienced product professionals.

 

  • Research:   Complete a study of global robotics and potential benefits as applied to commercial nuclear power maintenance services.
  • Report Formation and Writing:  Gain experience in structuring large amounts of information into a report and completing product comparisons.
  • Presentation Skills:  Develop a concise presentation that summarizes your review and present to leadership.

 

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a pre-engineering program, with intent to pursue a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Detailed oriented and process driven.  Experience understanding and following producers is preferred.
  • Competency using Microsoft applications

 

This role will be a remote position.   Travel may be requested to the Pittsburgh area for 1-week during this internship to support mentoring and learning of the business.   Business related travel expense will be covered as part of this role.
