The Resident Site Manager (RSM) builds valuable customer relationships and a deep understanding of the site-specific needs. The RSM’s unique and strategic position allows them to facilitate communication with the customer; identifying business opportunities, maximizing profitability and ensuring that the customer receives timely and targeted access to Westinghouse resources. The RSM is responsible for building relationships at all levels within the site organization, including being an active member of the utility leadership team.

 

This position will be located onsite at the Hatch Nuclear Power Plant (Baxley Georgia).

 

Your Day to Day:

Onsite Customer Support

  • Serves as the Westinghouse presence at customer site, representing Westinghouse’s ability to respond to planned and emergent customer needs.
  • Provides valuable customer information that helps build relationships and a broader understanding of the customer’s site needs.
  • Ensure Westinghouse activities and interactions are being implemented consistent with the site specific environment, policies, procedures and organization to meet requirements and eliminate cost of poor quality. 
  • Serve as champion for human performance (HuP) and safety.

Identify Customer Needs

  • Identify unmet customer needs and take appropriate action to provide solutions relating to business development opportunities for Westinghouse. 
  • Facilitates communication with the customer; identifying business opportunities and ensuring that the customer receives timely and targeted access to Westinghouse resources.
  • Issue regular plant status reports, including customer needs identification.
  • Collect market place data including customer long-term O&M and capital plans as well as competitor intelligence.

Customer Relationships

  • Systematically build consultative relationships at all levels within the site organization including operations, maintenance and engineering decision-makers.
  • Be an active member of the utility leadership team. 
  • Uses extensive knowledge of Westinghouse products and services, customer capital spending decisions, outage planning and technical issue resolution to become a trusted advisor to the customer. 
  • Attend customer status meeting or other relevant meetings to understand customer short-term issues and long-term business needs. 
  • Facilitate receipt of contracts and contract changes related to emergent work.

Outage Oversight

  • Operate as site outage manager and plant engineering manager as required. 
  • Supervise Westinghouse personnel on site.

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of one or more areas of specialization.
  • Extensive knowledge of nuclear plant operations, maintenance and regulatory requirements and practices.
  • Proven success in customer interface and relationship building skills

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Prior field service, outage and/or on-site utility experience
  • Significant customer facing experience at the plant and corporate level
