This position is hybrid in nature at the discretion of the manager typically requiring 2-3 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse facility in Madison, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.  We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.

 

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering OR
  • A High School Diploma/GED holder AND Successful completion of United Stated Navy nuclear field pipeline training program

4-10 years of experience in the following areas:

  • Navy Nuclear Operator OR
  • Commercial Reactor Operations OR
  • Commercial Nuclear Power Plant Engineer OR
  • Instrumentation and Control Technician OR
  • Commercial or civilian nuclear experience 

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and use of database programs.
  • Working knowledge of operating procedures, procedure background documents, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, functional logic diagrams, and other Technical Documents.
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills, good oral and written communication skills and have strong presentation/facilitation skills
  • Exhibit professional work ethic.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time to remote locations.
  • Ability to work occasional long hours, rotating shifts, and weekends.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain unescorted access at a Nuclear Power Plant.

  • Working knowledge of the associated Training procedures, INPO documents and NRC regulations.
  • Working knowledge of the AP1000 and/or legacy plant PWR systems.
  • Working knowledge of AP1000 and/or legacy PWR integrated operations and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of AP1000 PWR procedures, procedure background documents, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, functional logic diagrams, Technical Specifications, Conduct of Operations Manual, and etc.
  • Working knowledge of Electronic data storage/retrieval databases like EDMS.
  • Working Knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training to carry out assignments associated with the development, and implementation of training materials.
  • Knowledge and ability to write test questions that meet nuclear industry standards and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of searching technical references such as the NRC and INPO websites for pertinent information (such as lessons learned/operating experience) to include in training materials.
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management System(s).
