The Senior Field Specialist 

This position will require the individual to have experience & knowledge as a Refueling Project Manager at a PWR nuclear site, or another PM type service at a Nuclear site. This position will require to get a UAA (unescorted access) badge with a TLD so the RFPM can go into CTMT when needed, or to do observations on their RF crew members. They will need to pass a background and drug test. They will fill either the dayshift or nightshift PWR RFPM role at our PWR customer sites when we perform refueling services for them. They will be able to understand the scheduled activities for each of the refueling tasks that are in the schedule and know how to fix any problem that may happen while performing these tasks, or scheduled activities.

Lastly this individual will be able to support a PWR refueling outage from start to finish working directly with our customers and vendors when requested to. They will also have to learn the Westinghouse procedures & processes involved with being a project manager. They will be part of the RFPM group which is managed by the PWR Operations Manager.

Your Day To Day

  • This person will be able to directly communicate & oversee with our customers, contractors, RP, or any other work group that maybe involved with our Refueling outage.
  • They will also have knowledge with SAP, Procedures, processes, plans, briefs, and be able to direct anyone that helps support our refueling outages, as they will be the main contact during our refueling outages they support.
  • They will basically work directly with another RFPM when our Refueling jobs go into the field. They while be able to travel and work in the field for four to five weeks straight, with no days off or working 7 days a week, supporting either dayshift or nightshift as the RFPM when we are in the field at our customer sites performing a refueling service project.
  • This will be mainly during the Spring or Fall outage timeframes that usually run February through May for the Spring, and August through December for the Fall. They will be staffed on one of the Refuel projects as a RFPM and will basically work in the field 4-5 weeks for each refuel project they support.
  • There could be times they will need to come in before the actual refueling outage starts for training, project support, reviews, or travel to a customer site for procedure reviews, schedule reviews, or any other reason the customer may want them at site. This individual will be given a company credit card for expenses & travel, and a WEC laptop to use. 
  • They will also have to complete the Westinghouse RFPM training or the WPMR / EPMO training which is required to be a PM for Westinghouse. This will be a salaried exempt position that will get paid straight time over-time when in the field above 40 hours, or CTO (Compensated time off) along with per diem. The over-time and CTO time is completed 50/50 until a certain number of hours are reached. When they are not in the field this position will get a straight paid exempt salary.
  •  Lastly this individual will be able to support a PWR refueling outage from start to finish working directly with our customers and vendors when requested to. They will also have to learn the Westinghouse procedures & processes involved with being a project manager. They will be part of the RFPM group which is managed by the PWR Operations Manager.
  • This individual will also have knowledge and training to support human performance, rad workers, fatigue rule, ALARA, lessons learned, best practices, operating experiences, and basic knowledge of nuclear outage service work and requirements.

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies: 

  • BS Degree or equiviant experience as a Refuel Project manager 
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a Refuel PM or a Project Manager.
  • PMI certificate but not required
  • Project Management; Nuclear Plant Work Experience.
