Supplier Manufacturing Engineer - Machining & Fabrication Subject Matter Expert

The Machining & Fabrication Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for leading Supply Chain Engineering activities. These activities include machining, welding, large fabrication (modules, pipe), and/or mechanical assembly manufacturability. The SME also provides input to the design process, process development, and/or improvement within the supply base. Additionally, the SME is involved in supplier issue resolution.
Responsibilities:

Support Product Engineering in the design phase of new products and redesign existing products to ensure product manufacturability (e.g. Value Analysis/Value Engineering, Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturing principles)

Work with Product Engineering to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated to support suppliers.

Work directly with suppliers to implement and perform process capability analysis (Cpk) and qualification.

Lead technical assessments of suppliers for manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, compliance with applicable regulations, codes & standards, and associated risks.

Lead supplier development and qualification activities for new products. These activities include identification of project risks and mitigating actions, managing project schedules, approval of supplier process documents, process capability analyses, measurement system analyses,

Lead cost reduction activities within the supply base.

Lead complex issue recovery efforts.

Maintain industry-leading knowledge through training, research, process councils, Mentor members of the Supplier Performance Engineering teams.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, or higher in Engineering

Minimum 10 years Manufacturing Engineering experience in manufacturing operations (ASME/AWS welding, machining, pipe / module / large fabrications), 10-15 years typical.

Minimum 5-years of experience in the nuclear or related energy industry (desired).

Experience with lean techniques and statistical analysis.Professional Certifications: Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE), Certified Weld Inspector (CWI), ASNT Level III, or equivalent experience and a development plan to pursue.

Experienced in coaching others, providing guidance, knowledge transfer, and structured development support.

Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues in manufacturing processes

Availability to travel globally about 25-50% of the time
POLAND:
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 17,000 to 21,225 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
US:
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
