About the role:

As a Director – Engineered Solutions & Training and Resource Solutions you will be accountable for the full life cycle of the sales process related to the expanded EMEA Engineering Services segment, which now incorporates the EMEA Training and Resource Solutions products and services. The role will be responsible for the overall delivery of ~$132M of Orders Entered in 2026 with further growth in the following years. You shall manage the team of Commercial Managers and Commercial Engineers within the region, driving capture strategies, acting as lead in engagement with Market Development and BU Customer Solution Management, as well as leading negotiations directly with our customers, Internal LOA and through to contract finalization.

The role will work closely with the Senior Director for EMEA Engineered Solutions in order to drive pipeline growth, track and close actions with regards to open opportunities, and ensure conversion into Orders Entered.

You will report to the Sr Director, ES Sales and be located at Mannheim

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding region targets: OE, margin as sold, pipeline growth, win/loss ratio on pertinent scope of activities for entire region and distribute targets to responsible sales managers
  • Lead opportunity and/or delegate development sales funnel process from identification through offer development and contract closure. Lead business development build agreement with local stakeholders
  • Develop / maintain technical and sales related knowledge to support full region portfolio needs within assigned business segment and product portfolios. Responsible to support technical questions multiple layers deep while able to easily facilitate and guide interactions between the business segments and the customers during the sales process.
  • Oversight of Capture Strategy for opportunities including but not limited to identifying bundling opportunities, cross coordination of products to present customer-oriented solutions, and working with
  • Product Management and Account Management to define target price and target costs
  • Responsible for Negotiations with the client until final contract signature, ensuring proper teamwork and alignment with all relevant WEC teammates including Account Managers, Product Management, Legal, finance, and supporting organizations.
  • Facilitate negotiations with Consortium partner whenever relevant and alignment with all relevant WEC teammates
  • Responsible for the management of opportunities and data within the customer relationship management tool for associated opportunities.
  • Distributing targets to sales managers and managing team performance.
  • Lead LOA and offer processes for significant LOA levels, i.e. > Level 2 within Westinghouse including presentation and obtaining buy-in from WEC key stakeholders to ensure offering meets Westinghouse target objectives and Customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience working at or with Nuclear Utilities. Deep understanding of Westinghouse technologies and capabilities, >5 years managing teams in challenging markets
  • Technical Leader with business development acumen
  • Customer interfacing experience both commercial and technical related
  • Ability to communicate with executive level utility memebers
  • Close deals orientated
  • Deep Knowledge of customer operations related Nuclear Plant Operations
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Utility buying processes
  • Fluent English
