About the role:

As a Intern Engineer you will work on the qualification of the plugging and sleeving repair solutions according to the requirements of engineering regulatory codes like ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code

You will report to the Manager ASME SG Primary Solutionsand be located at Mannheim.

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing and validation of plug expanders for the installation of rolled plug by mechanical expansion
• Evaluation of the endurance strength of the plug by the performance of pressure and thermal cycles representative of the lifetime of the plug
• Fatigue analysis of a sleeve-tube assembly based on the operating normal and accidental conditions of nuclear power plant.
• Determination of the test conditions and performance of the fatigue testing on representative sleeve-tube specimens.

Qualifications:

• Assessment of the requirements of applicable engineering regulatory codes
• Assessment of the existing plug and sleeve qualification reports and engineering justifications
• Writing of test programs and test reports
• Preparation of representative plug and sleeve assembly specimens using original repair equipment
• Fatigue analysis according to engineering regulatory code methodology
• Design and development of fatigue and thermal-pressure cyclic test bench
• Performance of fatigue and thermal-pressure cyclic tests on specimens
• Analysis of test results
