About the role:
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for all phases in the project management process on moderate to high complexity projects, or a portfolio of lower complexity projects,
You will report to the ES EMEA Engineering & Components Project Portfolio Manager and be located at Mannheim.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all phases in the project management process on moderate to high complexity projects, or a portfolio of lower complexity projects,
- Lead medium-sized team, which may include project controls and sub-project managers.
- Support proposal process for moderate to high complexity projects, as assigned.
- Oversee the development of cost estimates and offers for operating plants support and modifications.
- Support and/or drive customer negotiations.
- Use interpersonal skills to cultivate positive relationships with team, customer, and other stakeholders in a matrix environment to facilitate successful project completion as well as identify opportunities for additional business growth.
- Analyze and resolve highly complex technical, commercial, and operational issues to provide high quality, enhance positive customer and supplier relations, and increase/maintain profit margin.
- Analyze contract requirements to enable successful project implementation
- Use and support Westinghouse project management systems and controls for various projects assuring senior management is provided with up-to-date and accurate reports of each project status.
- Maintain good working relationships with the customer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline required; Advanced degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as project manager leading and directing moderate to high complexity projects to successful completion
- Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI®)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge guide required. PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or other approved equivalent project management certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, such as effective verbal and written communications; ability to lead team members; ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and ability to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned
- Knowledge and skill of project scheduling and cost management.
- Language : Proficiency English, German
