With an increasing focus on delivering complex infrastructure programmes that are safer, better, faster, greener and more efficient, we rely on the Supplier Management Engineer to implement delivery certainty (on-time ; on-quality) models to realise the full supplier cultural and commercial potential and draw on our quality assurance and risk management experience in highly regulated, politically charged, stakeholder rich environments.

 

Supplier Management Engineer is Responsible For managing and overseeing relationships with suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality metal work components. This role involves working closely with suppliers to establish and maintain strong relationships, monitor performance, ensure delivery certainty and identify areas for improvement.

 

Specific responsibilities include :

 

  1. Supplier Oversight :
  2. Creating the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection and manufacturing execution:
    1. Defining Witness and Hold points during the manufacturing
    2. Executing or delegating some technical Witness and Hold points
    3. Supporting the project management team to interface with Supplier Quality Organization for performing Quality surveillance
  1. Supplier Management :
    1. Ensuring flow down of Quality and technical requirements from Westinghouse contract through to the supplier
    2. Driving the supplier performance, including supplier performance scorecard/dashboard. Ensures maximum value is received for the Purchase Order that WEC places to its suppliers, including full compliance to the quality and technical specifications
    3. Coordinating supplier documentation reviews by appropriate W functions, including the Supplier Non-Conformance Reports
    4. Owning the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR)
    5. Coordinating with our Subject Matter Expert for providing Manufacturing technical expertise to the supplier
    6. Identifying, proposing, and supporting implementing performance improvements (Supplier Improvement Plan)
    7. Providing regular progress report to the Business Unit Stakeholders (Project Manager, Program Director, etc..)
    8. Identifying, initiating, leading and implementing timely issue resolution strategies for quality/technical issues in supplier products
    9. Supporting Commercial Operations and Legal for Quality/technical bases of supplier claims, as required
    10. Complying with applicable procedures and standards and ensuring all standards and processes are adequately described in Level 2 and 3 procedures

Who are you :

  1. Bachelor Degree or higher in Mechanical/Material Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/Civil Engineering
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical/Material engineering with progressive technical experience
  3. Having some knowledges about Design-To-Manufacturing and Manufacturing Readiness Level process
  4. Having some knowledges about ASME code and standards
  5. Experience on Oil&Gaz or nuclear projects (beneficial),
  6. Be familiar with Term & Conditions and risk management.
  7. Fluent in English (TOEIC 850 or equivalent)
  8. Willing to travel to support supplier relationship development and emergent project issues.
  9. Candidate must meet the criteria for access to the company’s, partners’ and clients ‘technologies
