About the role:
As a Chemical Analyst you will perform advanced chemical analyses on metallic materials and metals in aqueous solutions, including bulk metal composition, alloying elements and trace impurities.
You will report to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering and be located at our facility in Monfalcone, Italy. We will offer the position as a hybrid role, and we will expect you to work up to 2 days per week onsite.
Key Responsibilities:

Promote ethical conduct, transparency, traceability and data integrity in all laboratory activities, aligned with ISO/IEC 17025 and Nuclear Safety Culture principles.

Develop, optimize, and maintain analytical procedures for bulk metal composition and trace analysis, including OES/XRF, combustion, and hot extraction. Additionally, develop, optimize, and maintain procedures for metals in aqueous solution after digestion, such as ICP-OES/ICP-MS.

Ensure data acquisition, processing and reporting follow controlled procedures, including instrument configuration, audit trails, versioning and traceable calculations.

Perform advanced chemical analyses using validated procedures, including sample preparation (weighing, digestion, dilution), calibration, and QC verification.

Prepare and issue compliant test reports including method identification, traceability, QC status, and measurement uncertainty where applicable.

Perform technical evaluation of subcontracted laboratory reports, including method equivalence, uncertainty statements, traceability evidence and QC adequacy.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 4 years in a chemical testing laboratory

Advanced competence in method validation, uncertainty evaluation, QC tools and audit readiness.

Data-management experience (including LIMS)

English level: intermediate B2
