About the role:

As an Engineer I you will join our Risk Analysis team. This is a hybrid position based in our office in Monfalcone, Italy.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Risk Analysis and and have a Hybrid work schedule of up to 3 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA) for nuclear power plant systems; evaluate a plant's potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (i.e., seismic, fire, and flooding). Assessments may support the Westinghouse global fleet of operating plants, and new reactors still in the design phase.

• Review plant operating procedures, system/layout documents, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), cable routes, and other material to understand plant systems and operation.

• Perform database management and data analysis tasks using a variety of tools.

• Use models to provide nuclear power plant operators with the necessary insight to make operational, financial, and regulatory decisions.

• Work with global project teams by contributing to technical scope execution and meeting schedule and financial goals.

• Up to 10% travel availability to global customer sites.

Qualifications:

• Engineering Master's degree, or equivalent 1-4 years of applicable experience in nuclear industry and/or PSA specific work.

• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and time management skills.

• Fluent in English (B2 level) with report writing skills.
