About the role:

As an Environmental Engineer you will be part of the Technical Services Team and you'll ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and standards, and maintain accurate records and reports.

You will report to the Technical Services Manager and be located at Monfalcone (Italy). This position requires a 100% of on-site presence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage applicable mandatory environmental provisions : Identify the mandatory environmental provisions applicable - Prepare the paperwork for the request of environmental authorizations, by contacting the Public Administration or working with external consultants - Develop necessary activities/tools/means (including procedures/operating instructions/training) to ensure compliance with the applicable regulations - Assure legislative compliance and maintain environmental certifications - Apply and implement the environmental programs reported by Westinghouse
  • Implement and control the environmental management system: Develop and implement environmental management systems, including policies, procedures, and training programs - Collect and organize data to support and describe the system - Participate in internal company audits - Organize and conduct audits to strategic suppliers/contractors.
  • Personnel training: Train the staff on the environmental aspects/impacts related to the activity carried out and on the correct methods for their management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, including UNI EN ISO 14001 guidelines.
  • Italian and English proficiency
