General Job Function:

The IT Specialist helps internal users with electronic devices and programs. He/she also oversee system operations and keeps updated the department documentation. As a expert he/she is called to help Junior Personnel to advance professionally. The IT Specialist works with senior personnel and the IT Manager on the management of procedures.

l’IT Specialist aiuta gli utenti nell’utilizzo dei dispositivi elettronici e dei programmi, per cui il Global IT Service Desk non abbia competenze sufficienti per intervenire oppure sia necessario un intervento on-site; Controlla il funzionamento dei sistemi, redige e mantiene aggiornata la documentazione relativa agli asset IT ed alle procedure di supporto operativo (gestione CMDB e documentazione tecnica). Collabora con il personale Senior e il Responsabile IT nella gestione delle procedure aziendali re nelle iniziative di miglioramento continuo:

Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority):

Support to users / Supporto agli utilizzatori

• Check internal ticket system and respond to users / Controllo del Sistema di Ticketing interno (Service Now)
• Problems verification / Verifica dei problemi
• Solve problems defining and applying the correct procedure/ Definizione ed applicazione delle procedure per la risoluzione dei problemi.

Monitoring of systems /Monitoraggio dei Sistemi

• Use the IT Tools /Utilizzo degli IT Tools
• Check of systems functioning /Controllo del funzionamento dei sistemi
• Detection of possible risks / Rilevazione di possibili rischi informatici
• Reduce risks by defining and applying the correct procedures/ definire ed eseguire le procedure al fine di ridurre i rischi

Set Up

• Computer/server installation and set up following the proper procedures / Installare e configurare i computer ed I server secondo le disposizioni aziendali.

Manage internal documentation of ICT Department / Organizzare la documentazione interna del Dipartimento IT

• Write internal documents about IT System and programs use / Scrivere i documenti interni inerenti il Sistema informativo e l’utilizzo dei programmi
• Update existing documents and Submit them to ICT Manager for approval  / Aggiornare la documentazione esistente e sottoporla a verifica al Responsabile ICT per l’approvazione.

Check ICT Material / Verifica del materiale IT

• Keep updated the inventory, loans and delivery of IT material following internal procedures.  / Mantenere aggiornato l’inventario, la gestione dei prestiti e la consegna del materiali IT, come da procedure interne.

Communication with Westinghouse support

• Manage shared activities with Westinghouse Support Organization using common tool / Gestione delle attività congiunte con il Supporto Westinghouse utilizzando gli strumenti comuni.

Server configuration

• Configure server following company directives / Configurare i server secondo le direttive aziendali

Service configuration

• Configure services following company directives / Configurare i servizi aziendali secondo le indicazioni aziendali.

Support to internal users

• Help users following the procedures managed by IT systems / Aiutare gli utenti a seguire le procedure aziendali gestite attraverso i sistemi informatici.

Writing internal programs

• Implementation of internal programs and utilities / Sviluppare programmi e applicazioni per uso interno

Follow Suppliers

• Follow suppliers that  develop or deploy services, systems and infrastructure parts for IT Department / Seguire i fornitori che sviluppano o rilasciano servizi, sistemi, parti di infrastruttura per il dipartimento IT

Data base activities

• Perform procedured activities inside company dbs / Svolgere attività procedurate all’interno dei database aziendali.

Backup management

• Follow company data backup procedures / Seguire le procedure aziendali di backup dei dati

Internal training

• Give to users training, in according with HRD calendar, about system, rules and software used in the company  / Formare gli utenti, in accordo con il calendario redatto da HRD, sui sistemi, le regole ed i software aziendali.

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:

• At least 2 years as IT 2nd level support, system administration, SW developer and database administration / Almeno due anni di esperienza come support IT di secondo livello, nello sviluppo di applicazioni, gestione di sistemi, gestione di database
• Preferred three years of experience, at least one year as Project Manager in IT Projects / Tre anni di esperienza e almeno uno come Responsabile di Progetto in progetti relative al Sistema informativo.

• Preferred:
  One between Microsoft Server Certification or Cisco Certification or Oracle Certification

  Una tra le certificazioni Microsoft sull’amministrazione dei Server oppure una certificazione CISCO oppure una certificazione Oracle.
