About the role:
As a Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) Engineer, you will prepare technical procedures and detailed instructions. These instructions are for performing inspection activities on steel structural components. The activities typically include VT, PT, MT, RT, UT, PAUT, and TOFD. You will prepare these instructions according to the customer and regulatory requirements. The NDE Engineer participates to technical meetings and collaborates with other departments to work on solutions for technical issues. The NDE Engineer supports NDE operators during the activities. NDE Engineer performs indoctrinations to NDE operators on instruction and technical procedures he has prepared.
You will report to the Engineering Manager and be located at our facility in Monfalcone, Italy. You will work onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction and technical procedures are part of the NDE engineer's function. This includes preparing technical procedures and instructions to perform inspection activities, such as VT, PT, MT, RT, UT, PAUT, and TOFD, according to customer and regulatory requirements.
- You will participate in technical meetings and collaborate with other departments for solutions on technical issues occurred in Mangiarotti or at suppliers
- Support NDE examinations: The NDE engineer supports NDE operators in control activities.
- Trainings and indoctrinations: NDE engineer performs indoctrinations to NDE operators on instructions and technical procedures. You shall assess the skills of the NDE operators personnel and provide suggestions and trainings to fill any gap.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Engineering degree (three years), preferred Master's degree
- 2 years minimum, 5 years preferred, of related experience in manufacturing industries of heavy carpentry or machining, preferred experience on pressure vessel industries, acting on the NDE area.
- English language competency: Intermediate B1 level
