About the role:
As a Welding Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of welding processes, adhering strictly to all relevant codes, design requirements, technical specifications, standards, and contractual obligations.
You will report directly to the Senior Component Delivery Manager and based in Monfalcone, working onsite.
We will structure your regular working hours from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM and then from 1:15 PM to 4:45 PM, including a 45-minute lunch break. We will maintain this schedule on weekdays, from Monday to Friday. There is also a degree of flexibility in your working hours; for instance, you could opt to start at 9:00 AM and conclude your day at 5:45 PM.
Key Responsibilities:

Adopt ethical approach on work and a behavior following the Nuclear Safety Culture philosophy.

Organization and coordination of welding qualification and test activities for procedures, mock-up tests and fabrication.

Detailed use of applicable Codes and of the different welding processes. Attitude and skills to manage and organize multiple activities and jobs contemporarily.

Realization of prototypes aimed to the validation of welding solution design.

Use process engineering fundamentals applied to welding procedures.

Robotic implementation in welding activities.

Author welding procedures and procedure qualification record, welders and welding operators performance qualification, and supervision laboratory tests required for qualifications validation.

Author and issue of welding procedures, welders and welding operators qualification and technical documentation (WB, WPS, PQR, etc.) according to the applicable Codes and Customers standards.

Selection of filler materials dedicated to each job based on the analysis of Codes, standards and contractual specified requirements.

Apply detailed knowledge of the different welding materials according to the design and manufacturing solutions, based to different welding processes and the normative regulating the filler material classification.
Qualifications:
-
A Bachelor of Engineering degree is essential, with a focus on Materials or Mechanical Engineering being preferred.

While certification as a Welding Technologist or Welding Engineer (IWT/IWE) is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.

You have 0 to 2 years of experience for the Engineer I position, and 3 to 4 years for the Engineer II level.

An understanding of ASME, EN, and RCC-M Codes is crucial. This understanding must also encompass ASTM and EN standards that govern mechanical tests, laboratory tests, various welding processes, and associated filler materials.

We require Advanced proficiency in English at a C1 level, as we conduct all rules, codes, standards, and the majority of projects in English.
