As a Welding Supervisor you will work as an individual contributor to support welding activities (equipment and personnel) on the shop floor, to get the requested quality in the welded products by following the production schedules.

You will report to the Fabrication Nuclear Manager and be located at Monfalcone. This is a 100% onsite position performed from our facility in Italy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate welder performance and suggest additional training to enhance their ability

  • Ensure welder adherence to safety protocols, welding procedures and verify that all equipment is operating in proper conditions

  • Critically judge the performance of the materials and processes chosen for the manufacturing of the welded product; in case of poor performance, you will provide feedback to the other company functions for the appropriate investigation.

  • Participate to the definition of the variables listed in the Welding Procedure Specification (i.e. welding process, parameters, type of consumables) to identify the best solutions regarding the safety, quality and cost results

  • Identify and correct poor fitting, over-welding, and other practices that waste materials and produce excessive rework, scrap, work effort, motion and delay time. 

  • Be responsible for welding qualification documentation, the registration of welding monitoring

  • Perform spot check welding station

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree  - IWI/IWE Certification preferred 
  • From 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles with a background of manual welding in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • English Intermediate
