About the role:

As a Welding Supervisor, you will play a hands-on role in supporting welding operations, including equipment and personnel, at the Monfalcone site. You will ensure that welded products meet the required quality standards while complying with production schedules. The role involves direct supervision of welding activities, evaluation of materials and processes, and continuous improvement of safety, quality, and operational efficiency. This is a full-time position.

You will report to the Technical Services Manager and be located in Monfalcone, Italy. This role is 100% onsite.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess welder performance and recommend additional training or qualification programs to improve technical capabilities
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, welding procedures, and verify that welding equipment is maintained in proper operating condition
  • Critically evaluate the performance of welding materials and selected processes; provide structured feedback to internal functions when performance does not meet expectations
  • Participate in the definition and optimization of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), including welding processes, parameters, and filler materials, balancing safety, quality, and cost
  • Identify and correct poor fit-ups, over-welding, and inefficient practices that lead to material waste, excessive rework, scrap, unnecessary physical effort, or production delays
  • Manage welding qualification documentation and maintain accurate records of welding monitoring and supervision activities
  • Perform spot checks and sample inspections at welding workstations to verify compliance with procedures and quality requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma; IWI / IWE certification preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles, with a strong background in manual welding within highly regulated manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Solid knowledge of welding processes, welder qualifications, and quality control requirements
  • Willingness and availability to work on a three-shift schedule
  • Intermediate proficiency in English
