Associate Field Service Engineer

General Job Function:

•    Provide basic engineering field service support during installation, repair, or general maintenance of I&C equipment

•    Example project disciplines include Engineering, Field Services, Software, Innovation/Product Development, and Process Improvement.       All project management is performed in accordance with the established Westinghouse policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.

•    Begin training and mentorship to develop into a service lead and/or supervisor

•    Begin fundamental training in Westinghouse I&C platforms
Project Closing-

•    Aid project managers in the financial and technical close out of projects
Training -
•    Begin training in one or more Instrumentation and Control Systems supported by the group
•    Participate in system and field leadership training
•    Assist in preparing and delivering project specific training for crews 
Leadership -
•    Demonstrate the skills and ability to perform assigned job tasks independently.
•    Supervise assigned projects and small teams with predetermined goals, demonstrating leadership skills.
•    Utilize interpersonal skills to cultivate positive relationships with team, customer, and other stakeholders (e.g., internal management) to facilitate successful project completion as well as identify opportunities for additional business growth.
Scope of Job
Leadership Provide direct oversight of Westinghouse employees and subcontractors while executing work
Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement Ensure the flawless execution of field projects from planning through closing and identify areas of improvement in everything you do.
Problem Solving Recognize and identify problems with equipment and systems per procedure. Recommend potential solutions for implementation.
Decision Making Able to make simple decisions daily and seek guidance and coaching from mentor regarding complex problems.
Influence Ability to coach or mentor others at an equal level of position. Direct and coach less experienced personnel.
