The Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB) is seeking a Manager, Electrical Products Engineering to lead the OEM product engineering team to increase Westinghouse’s enterprise value by delivering our existing commitments and creating growth for the OEM Product portfolio via new product development and flawless execution.  This role will be responsible to collaborate with product management to drive product strategy, while ensuring product requirements are met while providing customer solutions across the entire product lifecycle span.  The product engineering team will intimately support ongoing manufacturing and production for WPB to ensure customer commitments are met.

 

This role will be a hybrid/mobile (2 - 3 days per week in-office) work arrangement at our New Stanton facility.  

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Responsible for leading, managing, and driving the multi-discipline product engineering team for the electrical equipment business at WPB while partnering with Sales, Product Management, and Operations to ensure business needs are met.
  • Responsible for the engineering design, qualification, delivery, and support of complex electrical distribution equipment to the global commercial nuclear market.
  • Responsible for the continued procurement and delivery of legacy Westinghouse equipment to the global nuclear operating fleet, while actively supporting new AP1000® plant builds
  • Responsible for supporting critical delivery aspects for WPB to enable short to mid-term success to ensure revenue and margin growth targets are met for the product line.  This includes working in concert with product management for the introduction and delivery of new products to drive increased EBITDA.
  • Responsible for the effective operations of the team and ensures standards of quality (including effective management of the corrective action program), cost (including utilization of resources to meet assigned targets), safety (both ensuring a Nuclear Safety Conscious Work Environment as well as personnel and industrial safety), reliability, timeliness and performance are met in support of electrical equipment design and production.
  • Responsible for all aspects of personnel development and management, in close cooperation with the technical leaders in the team.
  • Collaborating with and educating internal business teams on optimal solutions to customer problems while ensuring Westinghouse interests are protected.
  • Accountable to guide and lead decision making in order to deliver key business and strategic imperatives

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in an Engineering Discipline 
    • Electrical or Mechnical Engineering degree strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience AND 3 - 5 years prior experience in a leadership role    
    • Electrical Product Engineering strongly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution equipment design and manufacturing
  • Relationship building at all levels both internally and externally (customers & suppliers)
  • Detailed knowledge of Commercial Grade Dedication is strongly desired
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence
