We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Parts Product Engineer! In this position, the individual will support the Westinghouse Parts Business Product Management group with a focus on mechanical parts. The individual will be responsible for a variety of product management and product marketing activities such as managing key teaming partner relationships, developing market assessments, product strategies, marketing materials, new product innovation, competitor analyses, etc.  for the global nuclear market.

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Identify and support strategic initiatives, develop product offerings, and pursue target product markets. This may include developing/supporting supplier teaming arrangements, supporting project teams for part delivery/product development/offer development, market/acquisition assessments, support for outside sales organization on product value propositions, lead commercial discussions with suppliers and customers, and interface with global customers/suppliers.
  • Work with engineering and design teams on part design, obsolescence management, equipment qualification and other assessments or evaluations with consideration for voice of customer and product lifecycle.
  • Solve problems related to customer issues, order fulfillment, new product development and supplier teaming.
  • Travel to customers, suppliers and/or industry conferences located worldwide (North and South America, Europe and Asia)
  • Other duties as assigned with the goal to implement Westinghouse strategic initiatives.

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from accredited university required.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in business related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of nuclear products market and product management concepts.  
  • Knowledge of ASME Section III desired.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple domestic and international stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Experience reviewing, developing, and communicating technical specifications to other stakeholders within the organization.
