As a Senior Field Service Engineer with our Instrumentation and Controls team, you will be responsible for all project management processes on medium to high complexity projects. There will a specific emphasis the installation and/or upgrade of industrial control systems. This requires leading teams (average >16 team members) which may include project controls. As your experience and capability increase, you may be assigned to several low to medium complexity projects simultaneously. You may also serve as a Technical Inputs Lead for the medium to high complexity project proposals as assigned and as a supervisor, Project Manager, or individual contributor on larger more complex projects. Additionally, you will be expected to understand and begin to develop subject matter expertise in one or more Westinghouse I&C systems.
You will report to the Manager of I&C Field Services and will be located at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA.
Key Responsibilities:

Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.

Assist others in the planning and document generation process for larger more complex projects

Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members as needed to complete the work.

Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders.

Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups following an integrated change management process.

Coordinate project communications ensuring team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of status.

Maintain project databases, systems and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.

Participate as primary author and/or reviewer of project procedures

Participate in larger more complex projects as a project manager, supervisor, or individual contributor

Properly close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools.

Perform final project quality assessment and report out. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future

Develop subject matter expertise in one ore more Instrumentation and Control Systems supported by the group

Participate in system and field leadership training

Assist in preparing and delivering project specific training for crews

Demonstrate the skills and ability to perform assigned job tasks.

Supervise assigned projects and teams with predetermined goals.

Lead projects in a manner that upholds a nuclear safety culture and reinforces the policies and procedures of Westinghouse

Cultivate positive relationships with team, customer, and other stakeholders (e.g. internal management) to facilitate successful project completion as well as identify opportunities for additional business growth.

Use present and past experience to improve project execution and innovation of new tooling and services to further the continuous improvement goals of the group and Westinghouse.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline

5+ years of Project Management experience, or 3 years of Project Management experience and 2 years in a technical role.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $85,200.00 to $106,500.00 per year.
