We’re hiring a Shop Technician 2, Mechanical, to join the Westinghouse Parts Business in our New Stanton, PA facility. This individual will mostly be focused on executing machining and/or assembly operations.

You will be expected to perform multiple assignments in support of machining, mechanical assembly, repair, refurbishment of equipment, components, and tooling systems. You may perform electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections.

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Comprehend basic mechanical and/or electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints and procedures, and record data in the required form.
  • Comprehend advanced fundamentals of mechanical parts and equipment, as well as power tool usage.
  • Disassemble, clean, reassemble, and wire low and medium voltage breakers per engineering documents for refurbishments and new builds. 
  • Install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, or connectors.
  • Operate electrical/electronic test equipment
  • Plan, lay out, assemble or fabricate mechanical, electrical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
  • Maintain ANSI Level I Certification for Mechanical Testing and Inspection as applicable.

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining, or inspection skills. Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawing, or machining plus required mathematics.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
