Material Handler


Primary Function:

Operate all onsite cranes and forklifts to lift, transport, and place materials throughout the site. Supports the development of lift plans and offers suggestions for the optimal way to transport materials and components around the site.


Your Day to Day:

  • Responsible for safely rigging materials and using overhead cranes to lift, transport, and place components and materials of various size, shape, and weights throughout the site.
  • Operate forklifts to load/unload company and freight vehicles.
  • Perform pre-use inspections of forklifts, overhead cranes, man lifts, and rigging gear.
  • Perform annual inspections of rigging gear per company procedure.
  • Perform Material Transfers per company procedure.
  • Participate in or lead team discussions to develop lift plans for complex high risk lifts.
  • Manually lift and place rigging gear and hooks


Experience required to be successful in the role:

  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass crane knowledge and practical classes.
  • Must be able to pass forklift written and practical testing
  • High school graduate or recognized equivalent.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Experienced with forklift and crane operation.
  • Experienced with rigging techniques and equipment.
  • Experienced with product and components.
