About the role:

As a Second Shift Supervisor you will provide leadership to the daily operations of the fabrication department. Ensure a safety conscious work environment is maintained and quality goals are met. Support team members to ensure production goals are met by following prescribed procedures. Communicate and report on production meetings along with updating Manager daily.

 

You will report to the Senior Operations Manager and be located at Newington, NH. You will support this role 100% onsite.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign work to team members-based schedules and qualifications.

  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and materials.

  • React to and report all safety concerns through ARC. Investigate the cause and provide solutions to solve the problem(s).

  • Communicate company information and safety bulletins at weekly start up meetings.

  • Perform quality peer checks.

  • Implement area training plans as directed by the Operations Manager and ensure documentation is maintained.

  • Perform peer checks to ensure that standard work is being followed.

  • Communicate with the Lead planner on deviations from the production schedule.

  • Lead team members in exercises and document results.

  • Identify corrective measures to maintain proper staffing, including work on processes when team members are not available or due to work delays.

  • Communicate fabrication status at daily production meetings to ensure schedule is on track.

  • Peer checks all production orders for proper approval.

  • Ensure the team leaves the work area in a clean condition, observing area standards.

  • Ensure area tooling; spare parts and production supplies are organized and maintained.

  • Administer and maintain any production boards.

  • Foster teamwork within the department and with teams in other departments.

  • Ensure standardized work is being followed.

  • Create weld material withdrawal slip for assigned work.

  • Ensure employees' time is entered and production orders are being charged.

  • Support other department supervisors while on vacation or training.

  • Ensure all safety training for employees is up to date in power hub.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / General Education Degree (GED)

  • At least five years of directly related experience in the department area.

  • Basic knowledge of measuring instruments and shop math.

  • Read blueprints.

  • MS Teams, SAP, ADP

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $90,000 to $112,500 per year.
