Overall Mission

As a Customer Solutions Engineer, you will support the Pumps & Motors business segment by developing competitive technical and commercial solutions tailored to customer requirements across the Europe, Latin America, and Asia (ELA) region.

Working closely with the Customer Solutions Manager (CSM), Sales, Global Markets, Product Management, and Project teams, you will play a key role in transforming customer needs into compelling value propositions and winning business opportunities.

In addition, as part of the Project Management organization, you will also manage low to medium complexity projects, ensuring successful execution in accordance with contract requirements, customer expectations, and Westinghouse processes.

This position combines business development, proposal management, customer engagement, and project leadership in an international and highly technical environment.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Solutions & Business Development

  • Develop and deliver technical proposals, bids, presentations, and customer offers.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Solutions Managers, Product Management, and Project Managers to align customer needs with Westinghouse capabilities.
  • Shape compelling value propositions that differentiate Westinghouse solutions in the marketplace.
  • Support consultative customer interactions, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
  • Implement business cases aligned with product strategy to support growth and market share objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders across the region.
  • Identify customer needs, challenges, and opportunities to support business growth.
  • Ensure opportunity forecasts are accurate and aligned with the sales pipeline.
  • Collect, consolidate, and validate cost estimates with all contributors during the proposal phase.
  • Ensure a smooth handover from the offer phase to project execution, including schedule, margins, scope, and cost structure.

Proposal & Offer Management

  • Lead Business Unit contributions during proposal development.
  • Coordinate inputs from engineering, operations, procurement, and commercial teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Westinghouse offer development processes and governance requirements.
  • Apply Level 2 and Level 3 Westinghouse standards related to Offer Management.

Project Management

As a Project Manager for low to medium complexity projects, you will:

  • Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation through close-out.
  • Define project resource requirements and execution plans.
  • Understand and manage contractual requirements.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, cost, risks, and performance.
  • Utilize Westinghouse project management methodologies, systems, and controls.
  • Identify, assess, mitigate, and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Communicate project status and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and KPI monitoring.
  • Organize and facilitate Lessons Learned reviews.
  • Support proposal preparation for future projects through technical, schedule, and budget inputs.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure offers are technically sound, commercially viable, and executable.
  • Support market growth through strong customer engagement and strategic opportunity management.
  • Successfully manage assigned projects while meeting contractual, financial, quality, and schedule commitments.
  • Ensure compliance with Westinghouse offer management and project management standards.

Profile

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in:
    • Engineering
    • Industrial Management
    • Technical Business Management
    • Related technical discipline

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in engineering, project management, business development, customer solutions, or a related field.
  • Experience in industrial, energy, nuclear, or service-based environments is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and/or developing technical-commercial offers.

Languages

  • Fluent French and English are required.
  • Additional languages are considered an asset.
