Overall Mission

As part of the Systems and Safety Analysis team, you will support the organization, classification, and management of engineering documentation archived at the Nivelles office.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to technical engineering projects and the nuclear industry while contributing to the preservation, accessibility, and quality management of critical engineering records.

Working alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists, you will develop practical skills in document control, information management, and quality processes within a highly regulated environment.


Key Responsibilities

Document Management & Archiving

  • Review, sort, classify, and catalogue technical records, project files, engineering calculations, reports, and historical documentation.
  • Label and organize archived documents in accordance with established document control procedures.
  • Identify, track, and record document metadata to facilitate retrieval and long-term preservation of engineering information.
  • Maintain accurate records of archived documentation and completed activities.

Digitization & Data Management

  • Support digitization activities, including:
    • Scanning paper records
    • Indexing electronic documents
    • Performing quality checks on digitized files
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across documentation systems.

Coordination & Stakeholder Support

  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to clarify:
    • Document ownership
    • Retention requirements
    • Filing structures and classification methods
  • Support periodic reviews of archive contents and documentation quality.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the improvement of document management practices.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize filing systems and archive organization.
  • Provide recommendations for more efficient information management processes.

Compliance & Confidentiality

  • Ensure proper handling and protection of sensitive technical and customer documentation.
  • Adhere to quality requirements, document control standards, and confidentiality rules.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure engineering documentation is accurately organized, catalogued, and traceable.
  • Support the preservation and accessibility of critical technical information.
  • Contribute to compliance with document management and quality requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Working Environment

Based at the Nivelles office, you will work closely with:

  • Systems and Safety Analysis engineers
  • Technical experts
  • Project teams
  • Quality and documentation management stakeholders

The role provides exposure to engineering activities and documentation processes within a highly regulated industrial environment.


Profile

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
    • Engineering
    • Information Management
    • Business Administration
    • Or a related field

Skills

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of documentation accurately.
  • Good knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams.

Languages

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • French is considered an asset.
