Westinghouse will participate in a major UK infrastructure programme and are seeking to identify a candidate with significant experience of establishing and leading an extensive supply chain organization.  The appointed person will be responsible for creation of the supply chain infrastructure and engaging with UK and International companies to build a robust supply chain which meets the requirements of an emergent and growing industry.

 

 

 

We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Leader who will be sitting in Operational Leadership team of a major UK infrastructure program. and reporting to the Program Director through competitive dialogue, mobilization, and delivery phases of the project.  As Supply Chain Leader, you will be accountable for establishing a supply chain, developing supply chain strategy and for leading our high value procurement process.  

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Innovation & Digitalization: Scout the market to identify new technology that create value to Westinghouse and its Customers.
  • To deliver a clear and compelling supply chain strategy for the competitive dialogue phase to secure the contract.
  • Develop the supply chain strategy in collaboration with UKIFS and other partners to:
    • Embed suppliers into the Integrated Project Teams (IPT) organizations,
    • Manage and mitigate capacity and capability challenges,
    • Clustering of suppliers to optimize scope of work and interfaces,
    • Foster a UK-rooted supply chain network.
  • Influence UKIFS to adopt a uniform programme procurement process across Whole Plant Partner organizations which embeds a best value approach.
  • Support the Program Director in reporting of programme performance to SteerCo for the supply chain management and procurement aspects.
  • Development of strategic selection criteria which informs our Make Vs Buy decision, and in collaboration with UKIFS and the other partners.
  • Oversee procurement process for subcontracts.
  • Support the development and delivery of the Intellectual Property strategy for suppliers.
  • Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Build and lead the internal supply chain and procurement team organization and resources so that they can deliver on business objectives and the internal processes.
  • Represent and promote Westinghouse in industry groups.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • BA/BS/ME degree in business or engineering with a minimum of +8 years of project management experience and including min 5 years of complex and large value project management.
  • +8 years’ experience within procurement in large and complex projects (experience in contract/project administration, preferably of large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement)
  • Significant experience with vendor purchase order issuance, execution, and administration
  • Demonstrated leadership skills across cultures, languages and locations
  • Strong Analytic experience & Good problem-solving ability and high attitude for ownership
  • A team player collaborating with multiple regions & product lines to serve Westinghouse’s customers
  • Experience in International Sourcing and knowledge of supplier base for the Nuclear sector is a plus
  • Strategic & analytical orientation with ability to translate strategy into tangible operational results  
  • Microsoft Project Expertise or similar systems a plus
  • Experience running large and complex cross-functional projects
  • ERP system or similar system experience in a global environment is beneficial (SAP & Ariba)
  • Ability to travel from 10 to 20%
  • Remote working with a mandatory presence of in average 2 days a week in UK
