Billing Specialist/Designer-9-month contract

Your Day-to-Day: 

·       This role involves a lot of data entry, communication with internal and external customers, and working with limited supervision within a small team.

·       The contractor will use various software, including Microsoft 365, Outlook, Adobe, and Excel, to respond to customer needs and work with several internal departments to get projects started and completed.

·       A typical day involves individual and team contributions, data entry, communication with customers, and collaboration with internal departments.

·       The contractor will work closely with two other individuals on the process and may interact with up to 100 designers, helping build packets, track payments, and manage service installations.

·       Must be able to read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets and supplier specifications.

·       Assignments will be completed utilizing information provided by project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff under the direction of a supervisor.

·       Requires familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering concepts and terminology.

·       Able to read engineering drawings and blueprints.

·       Prepare documentation to support design drawings.

·       Prepare bills of material, schedules, and assist engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction issues.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• Diverse background in accounting, business, construction management, or GIS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Knowledge of Adobe and Bluebeam is a plus.
• Background in design, business, or accounting is beneficial.
• Knowledge of specific systems like Smallworld for mapping and design systems
