Member Account Specialist – 1-Year Contract

Your Day-to-Day: 

• Proficient in operating computers and standard office equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with numbers and names.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective member interaction.
• Consistently delivers professional, high-quality customer service.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates active listening and problem-solving skills in complex conversations with patience and empathy.
• Handling member inquiries via phone and in person at designated branch locations.
• Informing, educating, and advising members across a range of financial services.
• Performing account transactions such as transfers, withdrawals, loan payments, and credit card payments.
• Assisting with payroll deductions, direct deposits, stop payments, and account inquiries.
• Promoting credit union products and services aligned with member needs and department goals.
• Resolving member issues and escalating as needed.
• Complying with all DECU and regulatory policies, including Risk Management.
• Completing all required enterprise-level training (e.g., BSA, OFAC, Information Security).
• Reporting any Risk Management Policy violations per established procedures.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: 

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Minimum 1+ year of experience in banking or financial services required
• Must have prior experience in a Customer Service and/or Problem Resolution role
