Project Controls Specialist – 1-year contract

 

Amarillo, TX

Your Day-to-Day: 

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly schedule updates by gathering input from project managers and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform QA/QC schedule on contractor submittals and ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Conduct risk analysis to identify and communicate schedule-related risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Generate and distribute schedule reports and dashboards using Excel and internal tools.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely project data.
  • Participate in regular meetings with project managers to review progress and at-risk activities.
  • Support a small team of Project Controls Specialists in a collaborative and supportive work environment.

 

 

Who You Are: 

 

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: 

  • 10+ years of experience in project lifecycle scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of project management processes and risk analysis.
  • Experience supporting large, complex projects, preferably in the utilities or oil/gas industries.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with project lifecycle schedules and contractor schedule analysis.
  • Experience in utility or energy sector projects.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Higher education in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
