 Duties and Responsibilities

This is an entry level heavy industrial contract position. Individual(s) will support smooth, reliable operations of the fabrication department.  Daily responsibilities may require a high level of supervision and will be directed by the Lead-Fabrication Specialist or as delegated.

 

  • Responsibilities will include, but not limited to; basic shop operations, use of tools, and the handling and prepping of raw materials; develop skills to cut, bend, grind and bevel pipe to create meter sets, regulator stations, and farm taps.
  • Perform material handling duties to receive, track and pull inventoried materials used for fabricating projects.
  • Prepares fabricated items for processing, such as inspection and painting; assist in the shipping of completed projects.
  • Acquire certifications necessary to operate forklift. Individual(s) will be expected to learn and perform all duties in accordance with State and Federal Environmental and Safety Regulations as required.

 

Qualifications / Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0 - 2 years of gas operations or fabrication shop experience or general construction.
  • Knowledge of basic math and measurements.
  • Safety awareness.
  • Will need to acquire forklift and backhoe certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Demonstrate the ability to take direction and follow instructions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.

Must be able to lift (50+ lbs), bend, kneel, push, pull, and crawl and work in various elements
