We are searching for Construction Manager III on behalf of our client.  This is a 1 yr. contract assignment.  The person will be responsible for providing oversight and technical assistance to solar farm construction crews. The person will act as a liaison between the construction contractors performing the work and the Project Manager. The construction manager lll  will support/handle the day-to-day functions of what's taking place in addition to being mindful of scope, schedule and budget.

 

Location:  Amarillo Texas

  • Per diem offered at GSA rate to non-local candidates outside of an 80-mile radius.
  • Will have fleet trucks available for each project to use onsite. 
  • Travel to location with own vehicle.

 

The construction manager lll is expected to be on site every day, 5-6 days per week to provide construction/safety oversight and act as the liaison between the construction contractors performing the work and the Project Managers, to ensure that they have what they need and to answer any questions relating to the work.  The person would then relay needs/asks to the Project Manager.  The person will work with the site construction contractors, depending on project can range anywhere from 150 to 200.

 

Requirements

  • Required to have proficiency with MS office. Would like to see experience with the scheduling side of Primavera (P6); this experience is not required, it’s a plus
  • The person is expected to work 10-hour shifts x 5 days per week
  • Depending on scheduling there may be 10-15 hours of OT per week.
  • Strong Safety Background: A solid understanding of safety protocols and practices is essential, especially within the construction management field.
  • Experience in Renewable Energy Construction Management
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing construction projects in the renewables sector, particularly in wind, battery, and preferably solar energy projects.

 

  • Leadership and Communication Skills: The ability to lead teams effectively and communicate clearly with both contractors and project managers is crucial for ensuring project success.
  • Team-Oriented Mindset: A strong team culture is emphasized, requiring candidates to collaborate well with others and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Since this position involves on-site work, a valid driver’s license is necessary for travel between project locations
  • PMI or PMP certification would be nice to outline proficiency.
