Duties and responsibilities

• Works in GIS and database applications which model electric utility distribution systems and fiber optic cables.
• Requires understanding of functional business processes as they relate to design, construction and operations and working understanding of data attributes that support these business processes.
• Requires ability to create a connected model that replicates the fiber optic system.
• Performs and manages QA/QC processes. Must be available to work emergency and planned overtime.

Experience / Education

• GIS education or certification
• High School / Equivalent
• Problem resolution, analytical and detail oriented
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and handle changing and emerging priorities
• Interpersonal, good customer service, good verbal and written communication skills
• Computer Science, Drafting & Design, Engineering Technology, Geography, GIS, Microsoft Excel

• Assist in troubleshooting any issues related to GIS systems or document control processes.
• Ensure operational workflows involving GIS and document control are executed efficiently, meeting project deadlines and operational needs.
