We are searching for a P6 Scheduler on behalf of our client.  This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. The person will be responsible for creating and updating Primavera (P6) project life cycle.  Candidates need to have engineering/construction lifecycle scheduling within the oil and gas, construction generation or renewables space.  In addition, flexibility in hours, long term assignment with potential for conversion for the right candidate as well as being part of a strong, collaborative team.

Hybrid position.  

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with different employees and various departments to provide/gather updates on activities and projects from the activities that are in the project schedules.
  • Gather vendor schedules and incorporate those into the life cycle schedules.
  • Perform primary project controls assignments to support Project Managers.
  • Accountable for generating reports, assisting with control activities, responding to data requests and developing/maintaining/supporting project schedules and/or detailed cost tracking.
  • Coordinates with Project Managers to obtain weekly and monthly cost and schedule updates.
  • Assist the Project Managers in providing accurate project forecasting and review of expenditures.

 

Requirements

  • Must have at least 5-7 years of experience in scheduling.
  • Must have strong experience with P6/Primavera and understanding of the critical path method.
  • Must  have an understanding of engineering/construction lifecycle scheduling within the oil gas, construction generation  or renewables space.
  • Certification of completion for P6 training.
  • Must have advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with data analytics reporting tools preferred.
  • Must have great communication- for updating to all the departments.
  • Willing to work with other departments.
