Project Manager - E&C

We are searching for a Project Manager - E&C  to join the Engineering & Construction (Energy Storage) team for a 1 yr. contract assignment.  The person in this role will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing various energy storage projects. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, engineering oversight and consulting across cross functional teams to deliver a best-in-class product.

Location:  Juno Beach, FL

Responsibilities and duties:

• Evaluates design aspects of major components for large scale energy storage projects
• Prepares technical scopes of work for incorporation into contract documents
• Supports projects from conception through execution working closely with preconstruction and construction project managers.
• Influences project teams in the engineering aspects of the technical work
• Maintains familiarity with the progress and problems in assigned technical areas
• Collaborates with suppliers to successfully integrate major equipment
• Collaborates with multi-disciplined teams for problem solving, improvement opportunities, and system integration and controls.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Work Experience:

An SME  (Subject Matter Expert) substation or utility scale energy storage design and/or project management, with established expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Power electronics
• Battery storage system design
• Substation design
• Generation tie design
• Strong knowledge of technologies in energy storage including varying battery chemistries, power conversion units and DC/DC converters
• Experience with reviewing power purchase agreements
• Lithium-ion battery storage safety: Familiarity with UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections
