Safety Consultant-II – 12 Months

Rolla, ND

 

Seeking a Safety Consultant for rebuild/rework on windfarm. Overseeing safety, reporting industry, ensuring that the job site is safety, reporting as a liaison. Site safety, job observation and audits. Multiple projects at a time.

 

Attending job safety kick off each morning. Report issues. Observe for safety.

 

Experience, Education and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in wind energy, especially with turbine rework, construction, or maintenance projects.
  • Familiarity with wind turbine technology and manufacturer-specific safety protocols (e.g., Siemens, GE, Vestas).
  • Experience in heavy construction safety, including lifting operations, crane safety, confined spaces, and fall protection.
  • Proven ability to manage safety programs across multi-contractor worksites.
  • Experience conducting safety training and toolbox talks for diverse teams.

 

Technical Knowledge

 

  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and wind-specific safety standards.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations related to wind farm projects (e.g., impact assessments, erosion control).
  • Hazard Assessment:
  • Ability to conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and risk assessments for rework tasks like blade replacement, nacelle repairs, and tower access.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Certification in any renewable energy with safety

 

  • OSHA 30 or 500/510 (Construction Safety and Health).
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) is a plus.
  • Global Wind Organization (GWO) certification:
  • Working at Heights.
  • Manual Handling.
  • •Fire Awareness.
  • •First Aid.
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Certifications or training in renewable energy safety is a plus.
