We are searching for a Senior Communications Specialist on behalf of our client. This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. (W-2). The person will be working in the Customer Service Department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading and driving effective communication efforts for a transformative project aimed at replacing the customer information system and all related applications, while also fostering a cultural shift within the organization towards an employee-first, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging and aligned communication efforts.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to support the customer information system replacement project and the cultural transformation initiative.
- Lead the development and execution of communication plans and materials, such as newsletters, emails, eWeb content, presentations, videos, and FAQs, targeting both employees and customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, analyze complex technical details, and translate them into easily understandable and engaging communication pieces.
- Conduct research and stay up to date on industry best practices to propose innovative communication solutions to effectively engage and educate stakeholders.
- Participate in workshops and training sessions to promote awareness, adoption, and success of the project and the cultural shift within the organization.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and materials through feedback, surveys, and other metrics, making adjustments as necessary.
- Provide guidance and direction to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate communications, employee engagement, or related roles, with a strong focus on change management and internal communications.
- Proven experience in leading complex, organization-wide communication initiatives, preferably within the utilities or energy industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and technical information to diverse audiences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at various levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in utilizing communication tools and technologies, such as content management systems, intranets, email marketing platforms, social media, and analytics tools.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and propose innovative communication approaches to engage and inspire stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all deliverables.
- Experience working in project teams is preferred.
