Senior IT Business Analyst

We are searching for a Senior IT Business Analyst for 1 yr. contract assignment.  The person will support multiple efforts across various Customer Relationship Management tools. The person in this role will conduct complex operational analyses and lead medium to large project teams that support informed decision making within the business unit.  The person will analyze business processes and practices to focus on the design and implementation of information technology solutions that meet the business initiatives.  The person will collaborate on an on-going basis with the business and technical project stakeholders and applies proven communications, analytical and problem-solving skills to help support the development process, and to ensure the project deliverables meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Partners with Operational Leads to understand business goals and supports requirements alignment activities.
• Understand operational objectives by studying business functions, evaluating how technology can enable efficiencies, and defining solution requirements.
• Designs solutions by analyzing requirements; constructing people, process and technology diagrams.
• Improves business process by studying current practices, identifying areas of opportunity, and proposing design modifications.
• Work directly with cross-functional groups to gather requirements, develop specifications, assist in documenting new processes and procedures, facilitate testing, training and user acceptance, and oversee rollout of the solutions.
• Ensure the verification plans which trace requirements to test cases.
  Provide functional and process expertise to application developers
• Participate in data migration process, ensuring accurate and efficient data transfer from source to target systems.
• Diagnose issues with data migration, suggest remedies or alternative methods and work with end users for data cleanup.
• Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or MIS, or another field of Engineering or equivalent
• 5 years of work experience, with 3 in IT or engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence within and across organizations, functions, and business areas.
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and organizational skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines and work independently.

• Must be able to manage an assignment from start to completion; must be adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner and meeting assigned deadlines.
