About the role: We are hiring on behalf of a client for a Material Handler/Stock Helper to support warehouse and inventory operations. You will receive, store, track, and distribute materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards. We consider this an Essential Personnel Position and may require the employee to work occasional after-hours to support operational needs. This is an onsite role in Halifax, VA. You will report to the warehouse manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and inventory tracking systems.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment activities.
• Accurately read, interpret, and comply with company and departmental procedures.
• Respond to customer requests regarding availability of stocked items and provide support as needed.
• Operate a personal computer for data entry, inventory management, and reporting activities.
• Assist with maintaining organized warehouse and storage areas.
• Safely operate company vehicles, including pickup trucks, when required.
• Support material handling activities during normal business hours and occasional overtime assignments.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, inventory control, or a related field.
• Current Forklift Certification required.
• Must successfully obtain Dominion Energy certification upon hire.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be ($22.00/hr-$27.00/hr)
