We are searching for a Supervisor, Coal and Ash Handling SGS on behalf of our client. This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. (W-2) Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the day-to-day operations of all Operators and Coal and Ash employees at a coal fired plant. Responsible for managing employee performance for tardiness, attendance, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Handles any customer complaints. Must have a working knowledge of the IBEW labor agreement and Heavy equipment management and operations experience.

Responsibilities:
- Supervises, coordinates, provides leadership to and facilitates the activities of the workforce including prioritizing workflow allocation and staff scheduling in adherence to contract provisions, Company policies and safety requirements.
- Have strong computer skills.
- Disseminates Company and departmental objectives to the business unit and assist in personnel and safety objectives.
- Responsible for processing of time sheets and other general information required by office staff.
- Assures adherence to safe work practices, standards and operating procedures, OSHA, MSHA, DOT and other Federal, State and local codes and regulations.
- Provides direction to employees, resolves technical questions and monitors workflow allocation to minimize overtime.
- Initiates maintenance work requests utilizing the companies’ maintenance management computer system, monitors backlog of P.M. and provides follow up on customer complaints.
- Reviews area operations to identify process and procedure improvements. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve operations, efficiency and service to customers.
- Manages work force in accordance with the labor agreements on disputed matters and investigates grievances/disputes.
- Requires good communication skills to coordinate communication with customers, vendors and employees.
- This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.
- This is a safety sensitive position.

Management Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Company’s management principles, policies and programs are consistently practiced and continually support the Affirmative Action Plan.
- Comply with and administer the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Assume fiduciary responsibility for operating the business and provide recommendations on cost improvement measures.
- Ensure that the Performance Management program is administered uniformly and effectively.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years experience in leadership positions pertaining to field personnel.
- Associates degree in general business desirable or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups across functional lines. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
- Have basic understanding and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of applicable computer software, programs and data tools and other necessary equipment needed to transmit data to customer specifications.
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal leadership, oral and written communication skills.
Key skills – Heavy equipment management and operations experience. IBEW – labor agreement experience.
