Job Summary

  • Work with business unit leadership in Northern Virginia (NOVA) to understand their staffing needs and high school hiring requirements and provide regular verbal and written progress updates.
  • Work closely with high schools in the NOVA area to build strong relationships and candidate pipelines.
  • Ensure that all recruitment and selection efforts are consistent with all relevant policies and are fully compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure recruiting process attracts and retains high potential diverse candidates.
  • Promote an employer brand in a positive and professional manner.
  • Conduct outreach to high school administration, counselors and vocational studies teachers to build and develop long lasting faculty and student relationships.
  • May assist with reports of student data to show progress of student candidates as they advance through the recruiting process.
  • Proactively communicate with students by providing information and answering questions.
  • Participate in High School Career Fairs
  • Maintain accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the sourcing and recruitment process.
  • Stay informed of current practices related to recruiting, sourcing and staffing.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.
  • Minimum 3 years of recruiting experience. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year towards experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year.
  • High School or Campus recruiting experience is highly preferred
    Solid understanding of recruiting techniques, HR hiring policies and procedures, and applicable regulations
  • Experience with data tracking & analysis, preparing status reports and reporting out on metrics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders both inside and outside of the company
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Possess strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with MS Office with strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with managing data in Applicant Tracking Systems
