We are searching for an experienced Training Analyst II for a 3-month contract assignment.  The primary responsibility of this role is to design and enhance organization's knowledge base, including taxonomy, content landing pages, navigation, tagging system, style guide, and training structure. The Training Analyst II is also known as The Knowledge Base and Training Material Designer will work closely with content creators and administrators to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly experience for our employees. Additionally, the role will involve visual storytelling and visualization of complex processes to create engaging and impactful training materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with content creators, administrators, and subject matter experts to understand the organization's knowledge base requirements and goals.
  • Design and improve the knowledge base taxonomy, ensuring content is appropriately categorized and easily accessible.
  • Review and enhance the existing knowledge base structure, focusing on usability, intuitiveness, and scalability.
  • Create visually appealing and consistent content landing pages that align with the company's branding guidelines.
  • Develop an effective navigation system that allows users to browse hierarchically and navigate between related topics.
  • Incorporate interactive elements and widgets to enhance the user experience and provide dynamic content on relevant pages.
  • Establish and manage a tagging system that enables efficient content categorization and retrieval.
  • Create a comprehensive style guide for the knowledge base, ensuring consistency in design, layout, and formatting.
  • Utilize visual storytelling techniques and visualization tools to convey complex processes and concepts in training materials.
  • Collaborate with the training content creator to establish a cohesive look and feel for training videos, job aids, and other training materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in knowledge base design and visual storytelling.
  • Maintain and update the knowledge base as needed, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and consistent style.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Information Science, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and enhancing knowledge bases, preferably using Confluence or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture, taxonomies, and content organization principles.
  • Proficiency in user experience design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and structuring training materials, including visual storytelling and complex process visualization.
  • Excellent visual design skills with the ability to create engaging and user-friendly content landing pages, illustrations, and visual representations of processes.
  • Proficiency in using design and collaboration tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Confluence, SharePoint, etc.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and tagging systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
