About the role:

As an EHS Specialist you will work toward implementing policies to identify/avoid hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments; investigate accidents and environmental incidents and working with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence; provide advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental health and safety; maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other partners impacted by the EHS performance of the organization.

 

You will report to the EHS, Sr Manager and be located in our Ogden facility. This is an onsite role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a representative for EHS issues and opportunities.
  • Conduct exposure assessments for noise, airborne contaminants, and other occupational hazards.
  • Manage IH monitoring programs (e.g., air sampling, noise dosimetry, ventilation assessments).
  • Participate in incident investigations or reviews
  • Conduct / facilitate audits and implement, or partner with sites and departments to implement corrections and controls

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety engineering/industrial Hygiene, preferred and have 3+ years in an environmental, safety or IH role.
  • 1+ years of progressive experience in a moderate to high industrial safety / health risk workplace
  • Industrial Hygiene experience working in IH programs (e.g., air sampling, noise dosimetry, ventilation assessments).
  • Knowledgeable of safety and health regulations and regulatory agency interaction processes

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,800 to $81,000 per year.
