Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment

Your Day to Day:

  • Maintain a variety of HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and support systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Analyze, diagnose and repair HVAC/Refrigeration system and component failures
  • Read and understand blueprints, equipment manuals, and engineering specifications in order to properly diagnose and repair HVAC and refrigeration units.
  • Perform requested preventative maintenance, replacement, and modifications to HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment
  • Determine replacement parts required, secure materials, and complete repairs
  • Safely charge and remove refrigerants in compliance with site procedures, state and EPA regulations
  • Perform oversight of contractors performing HVAC and other contract services
  • Safely utilize the variety of hand-tools and specialty equipment typical in the commercial HVAC Service trade
  • Document all work performed; accurately complete required dispatch documentation
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork on a timely basis
  • Perform other facility support tasks as assigned

What you need to be successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and an Associate’s degree or equivalent from a Technical / Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
  • 5 years related experience in commercial and industrial HVAC systems
  • Section 608 EPA Certification for safe refrigerant handling
  • Safe handling of refrigerants,  NFPA 70E qualification, preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on commercial and industrial air conditioning equipment
