Receptionist - Ogden, UT 


Your day to day: 

Provides office support in a small stand-alone office with high volume or visitor traffic. 

Greets employees, customers, vendors, and other visitors.   

Manages conference room scheduling and maintains adequate inventory of supplies for the office visitors.  

Monitor and review information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.  

Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. 

Ensure compliance with established Westinghouse values and standards. 

Answer, screen and direct/forward calls, providing information and taking messages.

Schedule appointments and maintain/update appointment calendars.

Greet persons entering the office, determine nature and purpose of visit and direct or escort them to specific destinations. Issue visitor's pass.

Keep a current record of staff members whereabouts and availability.

Collect and distribute faxes and other correspondence.

Manage catering needs for visitors.  Order hospitality meals as necessary using standard office procedure. 

File and maintain records. prepare correspondence, maintain and establish files, process paperwork.  Arrange basic travel.

Research and generate reports, prepare and monitor office invoices and expense reports, and perform other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned.

Ensure inventory of materials and supplies are available for visitors.  Order and pickup supplies and materials as necessary.

Communicate effectively/provide information to relevant personnel internal and external to Westinghouse via oral, written and visual media using the necessary equipment as required.  Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. 

Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

Apply proficient knowledge of policies and procedures of assigned department(s) and Westinghouse.



Who you are: 

High school graduate or the recognized equivalent. 

One year administrative experience. Some previous office environment work-related skill, knowledge, or experience. Previous experience working with the public.

Strong communication skills (written and oral), ability to deliver message concisely.

High level of attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks. 

Strong results orientation indicated by efficiency, accuracy and time management.

Demonstrated ability to be adaptable/flexible and open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace. 

High level interpersonal skills, poise, tact and diplomacy required to handle sensitive and stressful situations.

Proficiency in being congenial with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft© Office and other computer skills/systems (including hardware and software) to enter data, or process information.

Demonstrated proficiency in internet navigation for information and data gathering.

Learn quickly and adapt easily to changing technology and circumstances.

Work independently or in a team on special, nonrecurring or ongoing projects.

Exercise creativity and alternative thinking to develop new ideas for and answers to work-related problems.
