About the role:
As a Senior Emergency Response Specialist, you will ensure the site's preparedness and response capabilities. These capabilities protect people, the environment, and assets. You will maintain a compliant, integrated "One Plan," coordinating response readiness, leading drills and exercises across the emergency management system. Work toward developing policies to identify/reduce hazardous conditions.
You will report to the Senior Manager, EHS and be located at our Ogden facility. This is an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities:

Be a representative for EHS, in areas of emergency response site activities, hazard communication, and training.

Manage all equipment associated with emergency response onsite (e.g., SCBAs, Hazmat Gear).

Conduct Emergency Response drills and training in compliance with industry best practices.

Provide assistance and support for Environmental, Health and Safety issues site wide, and will help with Hazardous Waste management.

Plan and lead tabletop and functional/full‑scale exercises

Conduct / facilitate audits and identify or partner with sites and departments to implement corrections and controls.

Promote safety first culture.

Promote Emergency Response awareness throughout the organization through employee communications, participation, and programming
Qualifications:
-
Background in emergency response.
-
One or more of these certifications:
· HAZWOPR Certified
· Confined space rescue
· Incident command training
· Hazmat technician training
· Industrial Fire trained (e.g., Industrial exterior fire brigade training)
· High angle rescue training
· Member of the LEPC and other local emergency response agencies

4+ years of progressive experience in a moderate to high industrial safety / health risk workplace.

Maintain regulatory understanding of RMP (40 CFR 68), HAZWOPER (29 CFR 1910.120), and PSM (29 CFR 1910.119). Also, align with OSHA Emergency Action Plan (29 CFR 1910.38), RCRA Contingency Planning (40 CFR 264/265 Subpart D; 40 CFR 279.52), and SPCC (40 CFR 112).
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be (($76,400 to $95,500 per year.
