General Job Responsibility:
Westinghouse is looking for an accomplished Commercial Director to lead business development and sales activities for strategic, complex services programs across the EMEA region, using the full OPX Product portfolio.
You will lead the end‑to‑end commercial lifecycle, from opportunity identification through contract award, for high‑value nuclear plant major component replacements, modernizations, and life‑extensions.
You will combine deep technical understanding to shape winning strategies, develop trusted executive‑level customer relationships, and provide unique, value‑based solutions to nuclear utilities.
You will help improve regional growth, positioning Westinghouse as a long‑term strategic partner, and securing complex, multi‑business‑unit services contracts
Responsibilities :
Sales Leadership & Capture Execution:
Complete sales strategies for high‑value nuclear services programs, including major component replacements, modernizations, and life‑extension projects.
Lead the full commercial lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract signature and structured handover to the Project Director, ensuring disciplined capture execution and understanding of Westinghouse goals.
Market Intelligence & Opportunity Development:
Assess the EMEA nuclear LTO market, tracking industry trends, customer priorities, competitor positioning, and regulatory developments.
Translate market intelligence into applicable strategies that identify, shape, and capture new opportunities across plant upgrades, maintenance, and safety solutions.
Customer & Partner Engagement:
Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior decision makers at nuclear utilities, government agencies, and main industry partners.
Position Westinghouse as a strategic, long‑term partner supporting safe, reliable, and economically viable plant operations.
Commercial Forecasting & Governance:
Communicate with senior leadership through accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and proposal status reporting. Maintain disciplined opportunity tracking and updates within D365, ensuring agreement on internal governance and reporting requirements.
Contract Negotiation & Deal Closure:
Lead commercial negotiations for contracts, agreements, and project terms. Partner with legal, finance, engineering, and risk teams to structure contracts that balance commercial competitiveness, risk management, and customer value, while observing corporate policies.
Product & Market Expertise:
Maintain knowledge of Westinghouse's services portfolio, relevant technologies, and competitive offerings.
Stay current on engineering innovations and industry developments to ensure Westinghouse delivers unique, cost‑effective, and compliant solutions in the nuclear LTO market.
Proposal & Approval Leadership:
Direct the proposal approval process with the Proposal Manager, including executive reviews and partner agreement.
Ensure offerings meet customer requirements while achieving Westinghouse's financial, risk, and strategic goals.
Industry Representation & Advocacy:
Represent Westinghouse at industry forums, conferences, and customer events.
Strengthen industry networks, influence market positioning, and enhance Westinghouse's reputation as a leader in nuclear technology and services solutions.
Education and Qualifications / Skills:
Education Level :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Years of Experience :
15+ years of experience in sales, business development, or project management in the nuclear industry, with a specific focus on long-term operations, maintenance, and plant life extension projects.
Skills:
- Experience managing large-scale projects and securing multi-million-dollar contracts within the nuclear or energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of nuclear power plant operations, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
- Ability to identify new business opportunities.
- Negotiation skills, with experience managing complex contracts and project terms.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse partners, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
