Overall Mission
As a Steam Generator Maintenance Technician, you will execute field operations supporting maintenance activities on nuclear power plants across France.
You will contribute to the safe and flawless delivery of steam generator secondary side services, including sludge lancing and FOSAR inspections, while ensuring high standards in safety, quality, and operational performance.
This role offers the opportunity to build strong technical expertise and hands-on site experience in a demanding nuclear environment, with potential career progression toward roles such as Team Leader, Field Service Supervisor, or Site Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Field Activities
- Perform and support steam generator secondary side maintenance activities, including:
- Sludge lancing
- Televisual inspections (FOSAR)
- Execute field operations safely and in compliance with procedures and site requirements
- Lead or actively participate in operational activities during plant outages
Preparation & Execution
- Contribute to outage preparation activities:
- Equipment maintenance and readiness
- Logistics and preparation
- Training participation
- Ensure efficient execution during outage phases, meeting schedules and quality standards
Post-Outage Activities
- Support closure activities and plant restart operations
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of activities performed
Equipment Management
- Maintain and manage equipment locally on-site
- Ensure tools and systems are functional, compliant, and ready for operations
Accountabilities
- Deliver field operations in line with safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements
- Ensure proper execution of maintenance services during plant outages
- Maintain equipment availability and reliability
- Contribute to continuous improvement through feedback and field experience
Working Environment
- Position based in France, with the majority of time spent on nuclear power plant sites
- Occasional support to other services or activities outside the SGS scope
- Reporting to:
- Operations Manager (France) – line management
- Project Manager (France) – functional reporting
This role requires strong adaptability to field conditions and outage schedules.
Profile
Education
- Advanced Technician Diploma (BTS / DUT or equivalent) in:
- Robotics
- Electronics
- Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- Experience in maintenance activities (robotics, mechanical, or electrical)
- Experience in industrial or field service environments is highly valuable
- Nuclear experience is a plus but not mandatory
Skills
- Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, or robotic systems
- Ability to work in field environments with strict safety requirements
- Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Ability to follow procedures and ensure high-quality execution
Languages
- Fluent French (written and spoken) required
